JPG to PDF Converter – Image to PDF Maker

100% client-sideYour files stay in your browser and are never uploaded.

How to use JPG to PDF

  1. Drop one or more images onto the tool, or choose them from your device.
  2. Put them in the order you want with the up and down buttons, or drag the rows.
  3. Choose the page size, orientation and margin. If the PDF must be small, choose a limit under Keep PDF under, such as 100 KB, 200 KB or 300 KB.
  4. Press Create PDF. Each image gets its own page. Download the PDF when it is ready.

Features

  • One image or many, each on its own page, in the order you choose — a simple way to merge JPGs into one PDF
  • A4, US Letter, or pages that match each image; automatic or fixed orientation
  • Keep the PDF under 100 KB, 200 KB, 300 KB, 500 KB, 1 MB or 2 MB, for upload forms with a size limit
  • JPG files are embedded as they are, so there is no extra quality loss when no limit is set
  • Photos with a rotation flag are drawn upright instead of sideways
  • PNG and WebP images work too (transparent areas become white)
  • Nothing is uploaded: the PDF is built on your device

What can you use JPG to PDF for?

Many forms, portals and email systems want a PDF rather than a loose photo. Putting your images into a PDF gives you one tidy file with the pages in the order you chose. This image to PDF maker is free, needs no signup and builds the file on your device.

  • Turning phone photos of a document into a single PDF.
  • Submitting ID or certificate photos to a form that only accepts PDF.
  • Merging a set of screenshots, receipts or scanned pages into one file.
  • Making a simple photo booklet or portfolio to share.

JPG to PDF under 100KB, 200KB or 300KB

Upload forms often cap a PDF at 100 KB, 200 KB or 300 KB. Choose a limit under Keep PDF under and press Create PDF. The tool re-saves each image at the highest quality that fits its share of the limit and shrinks the pixels only if quality alone is not enough. It then checks the finished PDF, and if it is still over the limit it tries again with a tighter budget.

Several large photos in one PDF cannot always fit in 100 KB without looking soft. If the PDF stays over the limit, the tool says so; use fewer images, or a larger limit. With no limit set, a JPG is placed into the PDF as it is, without being compressed again.

JPG to PDF merge: many images in one PDF

Add all the images at once, then drag the rows or use the arrows to set the page order. Every image becomes one page, so ten photos make a ten-page PDF. If you already have PDF files to combine, use Merge PDF. To go the other way and save PDF pages as pictures, use PDF to JPG.

Tips for better results

  • Choose A4 or Letter for documents you may print. Use Match image size for screenshots and artwork.
  • Automatic orientation turns the page sideways for wide images, so landscape photos fill the page.
  • Phone photos can be large. If the PDF is too big, set a size limit, use the Medium quality setting, or compress the images first with the Image Compressor.
  • Straighten and crop pages in your phone's editor before you add them. This tool does not crop.

Frequently asked questions

Is the JPG to PDF converter (image to PDF maker) free?

Yes. It is free, needs no signup and has no watermark.

Can I convert several JPG images into one PDF?

Yes. Add as many images as you like, arrange them in order and press Create PDF. Each image becomes one page of a single PDF.

How do I make a JPG to PDF under 200KB, or 100KB or 300KB?

Add your images, choose 100 KB, 200 KB or 300 KB under Keep PDF under, and press Create PDF. The tool lowers the image quality, and shrinks the pixels if needed, until the PDF fits. If it cannot fit, it tells you.

Why is my PDF still over the size limit?

Many large photos in a small limit cannot fit without losing too much detail. Use fewer images, choose a larger limit, or crop your photos to the part you need before adding them.

Are my images uploaded when I make a PDF?

No. The images are read and placed into the PDF by code running in your browser. They are not sent to Toolbantu or anyone else, and the PDF components are bundled with the site.

Can I use PNG or WebP images as well as JPG?

Yes. PNG and WebP images are redrawn and embedded as JPEG, and any transparent areas become white. JPG files are used as they are unless you lower the quality or set a size limit.

Will the images lose quality?

Not when no limit is set and the Image quality is Original, because JPG files are embedded as they are. If you choose High, Medium or Low, or a size limit, the images are re-saved at a lower JPEG quality, which makes the PDF smaller and the pictures slightly softer.

Why does a photo come out the right way up?

Phone photos often store a rotation flag instead of rotating the pixels, and PDF viewers ignore it. The tool detects that flag and redraws the photo upright, so it matches what you see in your gallery.

What does Match image size do?

Each page takes the exact shape of its image at 96 DPI, with no margins or white borders. It suits screenshots and artwork better than documents you want to print on A4 or Letter.

Is there a limit on how many images I can add?

Each image can be up to 50 MB and a single PDF can hold up to 200 MB of images in total. Very large photo sets can run into your device's memory, so try fewer images at a time if it fails.
